M.F. Bromelain® 60 Vegetarian Capsules

Bromelain is a general name given to a family of proteolytic enzymes derived from Ananas comosus, the pineapple plant.

Bromelain has been shown to promote healing and reduce temporary and minor swelling and bruising following trauma or surgical procedures – including dental surgery. Plastic surgeons have shown interest in bromelain because of its ability to increase the resorption rate of hematomas following surgery. Bromelain exerts some of its effects because of it potent proteolytic activity. One study of patients with bone fractures found bromelain decreased swelling.

Bromelain* 1 g.

Other Ingredients: Hypromellose (derived from cellulose) capsule, Leucine, Silicon Dioxide.

*Bromelain is derived from the pineapple plant (Ananas comosus). This product is not diluted with lactose.

This product does not contain wheat, gluten, corn, yeast, soy, egg, dairy products, or artificial colors, sweeteners, or flavors. This product also does not contain lactose, palmitic acid, or magnesium, calcium, or vegetable stearates.

Suggested Use: Take 2 capsules one to three times daily or as recommended by a health-care practitioner.

ALLERGY WARNING: This product is contraindicated in an individual with a history of hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients.

PREGNANCY WARNING: If pregnant, consult your health-care practitioner before using this product.

INTERACTIONS/CONTRAINDICATIONS: Because bromelain has fibrinolytic effects that may potentially inhibit blood clotting, this product should be used with caution or avoided in individuals taking anticoagulant medications.

OTHER WARNINGS: It is not recommended to remove the M.F. Bromelain powder from the capsule, as it can be irritating to the oral mucosa.
