Amino Acids

Amino acids are organic compounds that combine to form proteins; they serve as important building blocks that make up proteins like hormones, enzymes and proteins in tissues and muscle. When proteins are digested, amino acids are left. They are classified as either "essential" amino acids (which must be consumed in the diet), or "nonessential" amino acids (which can be made by the body from the essential amino acids).

Amino acids can be used to supplement a diet that is deficient in protein such as our PaleoMeal , grouped in a specific formula as in our Amino-D-Tox to support liver detoxification, or as individual supplements to benefit a variety of nutritional or biochemical needs.
